Ópálos 2006 - Balla Géza
(Dry white wine)

It is an ancient Hungarian type, it is the specialty of Ménes wine district. It has not been bottled on its own for many decades. It is a reductive white type of wine with rich flavour and scent and it’s rich in carbonic acid.

Princess

Special Reserve 2006
(Dry white wine)

It is a Hungarian type with Transylvanian origin. Pale yellow in colour, sticks well to the wall of the glass. It has restrained fruity flavour, gooseberry, green cherry, a bit of yeast in its scent. It is richer in taste than in scent. It has a taste with an average full of citric flavour. It is a wine for summer nights, specially recommended for women.

Ottonel muskotályos

Sweet white wine

Dim straw-yellow colour, restrained muscatel flavouring. Intense acids in its taste, sweety taste feeling. Owing to the due remained quantity of sugar – gentle but exciting bitterish after-taste.

Bright ruby colour that can be produced only at Ménes wine district. In its scent there is fine raspberry flavouring usually made by Géza Balla and in its taste a kind of soft silkiness comes up. It’s more than an average Rosé !

Semi-dry red wine

Ruby and orange reflection. It has an intensive friuty flavour in its scent, raspberry, sour cherry , short cask usage. Lots of fruits, little remaining sugar, good balance, average in body.

First Cabernet type of scent can be felt. After some time lots of ripe red Berry friuts, cherry, wild sour cherry, blackcurrant and a bit of dried plum can be felt. There is a bit of bitterish feeling in its aftertaste , which is partly because of the acids, then longlasting fruity flavours cause nice feeling.

It has dried black fruity features comming from ripe grapes.The late vintage, dried plum can be felt. It has a relatively great body, with merged tannin.It won the „International Kadarka Prize”.

The most outstanding wine of wine-growing, perfectly built, exciting red wine.In its scent and taste the typical ’kékfrankos’ features can be discovered. Intense acid contain which secures long bottled aging for customers.

Pinot Noir

Deep purple colour. Mediterranean fruity feature twinned with spicy flavouring. In its scent you can feel Pino’s cool elegance.

Caberet Savignon

Deep purple-violet colour. In its scent black currant, frost-bitten sloe with some paprika flavouring. Intensive taste, forced tannins , fruity after-taste. It’s a really great/heavy-body cabernet.

Merlot-száraz

Spicy scent, red beriied fruit flavour. Red-currant and raspberry that appears nicely in taste.Mild sourness makes it excitingly elegant.

Ménesi Kadarisszima

Sweet red wine

It was first made in 1744, in Ménes district, from the famous red dried ’Kadarka’. In 2003 „Szomorodni” type of wine was made by using dried and overripe grapes together. It has a characteristic scent and flavour. It is great with desserts.

Dreamer

It is a sweet Cabernet Savignon from late vintaging. The concentrated taste of schrunken grapes with cherry touch can be felt. We recommand it with desserts.
